About Us

At Laurel Haven we are dedicated to developing horses and riders to their highest potential.  With over 20 years of professional horse industry experience, we pride ourselves on a commitment to each horse’s needs and attention to detail in all things. Emphasis is placed on a positive learning environment that facilitates goal setting and horsemanship.   Our focus is on the classical system of dressage for developing the horse gymnastically for their specialized discipline.  We believe that dressage is for every horse and every rider. This systematic approach to training allows the horse to slowly and correctly supple and strengthen their bodies (and minds) for a lifetime of good riding.

The training center offers full amenities including:

  • 70' x 200' lighted indoor arena
  • comfortable heated viewing lounge
  • 35+ stalls
  • 25 acres of paddocks and fields
  • indoor wash stall
  • round pen
  • outdoor riding trails

About Us

Trainer Jennifer Daniels has a strong background in multiple disciplines, and although her emphasis has long been on dressage, she has dabbled in every major style of riding and has had involvement with virtually every breed. Her horse industry experiences run the gamut- from organizing national events and meetings... to managing shows, clinics and breed demos.  She is currently making her mark on the standardbred aftercare movement as she rehabs and retrains well over 100 horses each year.  Daniels holds a B.S. degree in Animal Science from The Ohio State University and has earned numerous certifications and show ring achievements. She has a fervent commitment to education and enjoys working with riders and horse owners of all levels.

LHF is proud to be the main standardbred facility for New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program, the largest program of it's kind in North America.

Their mission:
To stand in the gap for noncompetitive, often injured racehorses providing a peaceful environment and skilled hands to assist in their development as pleasure mounts. To place these horses in experienced loving homes that will continue their education so each has a skill and therefore a future.
